HARTING has announced new plastic versions of its its connector mounting frames for the Han-Port front panel interface system. Available as single and double versions, the new Han-Port plastic mounting frames are ideal for users who need to connect external devices to controls and systems in control cabinets or machine enclosures for diagnostics or maintenance purposes.

Offering a lightweight solution, the new option enables users to select either transparent or metallic finishes for the covers. The cover can be locked with a 3 mm double-bit closure, while rotation knob closure is enabled simply by clicking the enclosed rotation knob in the double-bit closure.

The IP65 degree of protection (with the cover closed), coupled with the use of high-quality plastics, enable the new Han-Port plastic mounting frames to be deployed in harsh industrial environments. In order for the user to easily detect whether the cover is closed or not, the mounting frames feature a spring mechanism that lifts the unlocked cover upward by 30°.

The plug sockets and/or data modules are inserted and snapped into place in the new Han-Port mounting frames. Facilitating a variety of combination options, the Han-Port modular system allows customers to react flexibly to their different interface requirements. Featuring approvals from outside bodies including NEMA and UL, the new Han-Port plastic mounting frames can be used virtually worldwide.
