HUBER+SUHNER have announced the publication of a new brochure which highlights the company’s wide ranging product offering for space applications. HUBER+SUHNER's space portfolio includes a variety of cable, cable assemblies and connectors and products designed specifically for ground testing in clean rooms or thermal-vacuum environments. The new brochure is available to view and download online as an e-paper.

One of the highlighted products is HUBER+SUHNER’s minibend “bend to the end” flexible coaxial cable assembly, which is designed as a replacement for traditional semi-rigid assemblies. These minibend coaxial cable assemblies meet all NASA, ESA and MIL standards for low-outgassing materials. With the unique advantage of a fully flexible cable immediately behind the connector, it is ideal for highly congested cable installations.

The new brochure also features a family of phase shifters designed for use in electronic systems where the precision adjustment and tuning of transmission line electrical lengths are required. Designed to allow precise in-line phase change while maintaining constant VSWR and insertion loss performance values, these devices offer a variety of interfaces and phase adjustment ranges are available for operation up to 26GHz. Claimed to be the smallest threaded open source connector currently available, HUBER+SUHNER’s SMPM-T combines a MIL-STD-348 SMPM female interface connector with a retractable threaded nut. With a connector centerline to centerline spacing of just 5mm (0.20in), the SMPM-T can handle very high density applications at frequencies up to 65GHz.

HUBER+SUHNER also offer components for high power TVAC ground testing applications. Operating to 14GHz, the 32071 cable assembly can handle 500W CW power in an ambient environment of +1500C and vacuum conditions. It can also be supplied with straight TNC, N or SC connectors. Feed-thru style devices offering in-series and between-series interface solutions for TVAC testing applications are the company's hermetic adaptors. They are 100% hermetically tested in accordance with ASTM E-498, MIL-STD-202 and MIL-STD-883. Matching the coefficient of thermal expansion of the adaptor body to prevent any loss of hermeticity, hermeticity is provided by a glass fired seal selected to provide the best electrical performance.
