HARTING has introduced a set of torque tools designed to ease the installation of its Han range of industrial connectors using axial screw termination technology. The introduction of axial screw termination technology for connecting fine stranded wires complements HARTING’s proven screw-termination technology with a popular field-termination technique that is easy to install and compact.

Assembly merely requires the appropriately stripped stranded wires as well as a hexagonal wrench, preferably with adjustable torque moment.

Users who are unsure as to which tool is used for which HARTING axial screw termination or screw-termination product during assembly can now simply employ a tool from the new Han Series of torque tool sets. Installation merely involves adjusting and applying the tightening torque appropriate for the wire gauge. As a result, products such as the Han 200A Axial or the Han 40A Axial can be easily and securely installed.

Three new Han torque tool sets and a new screwdriver set include all the tools necessary for the Han product range. The sets for high-current axial contacts and power contacts feature variably adjustable torque screwdrivers covering the torque ranges of 5-14 Nm and 1-5 Nm.

In addition to the variable screwdrivers, a further set offers two pre-set tightening torque screwdrivers with fixed torque values of 0.5 Nm and 1.2 Nm, which are suitable for screw contacts and fixing screws. The portfolio is completed by a screwdriver set which is optimally designed for use with Han connectors.
