The KG2 and KG5 ranges of panel and bulkhead fittings have been enhanced to handle individual or combinations of individual and overall screens. Versions of the fittings, from KEC, now incorporate the tube and interwoven braid technique that was originally designed and patented by KEC for use within their KC2000 ranges of EMC connector backshells.

Individual and/or overall screens are terminated within the length of the panel or bulkhead fitting providing excellent screening performance and EMC. Since their introduction, the KG2 and KG5 have been used extensively to handle overall screened cables passing through or terminating at an equipment panel or bulkhead. The increased sophistication of screening solutions has seen a growth in the demand for through-hole fittings and glands to cope with cables incorporating individual and overall screens.

The KG2 and KG5 are simple and economic to install, require no special tooling and provide total re-workability.  KEC’s design and assembly service offers a one-stop-shop and total EMC interconnect capability.
