Suitable for high frequency resistance welding systems, the lightweight RobiFix-MINI connector from Multi-Contact can be used at frequencies as high as 10kHz. Its low profile design means it can be installed as a primary circuit connector on the latest robotic spot welding lines.

The cost-effective three pole RobiFix-MINI is designed for 16mm2, 25mm2 and 4AWG cables, enabling it to be used in continuous connections from weld timers to welding guns via robots and tool changers, even where the segments have different cable cross-sections.

It can be used both with traditional welding applications in the frequency range from 50 to 3000Hz and with the latest welding technologies with frequencies up to 10kHz. Rated current is 135A and the maximum voltage is 1000VAC.

The connector can be assembled by hand, and its design for rapid disconnection reduces downtime and maintenance costs.

The smallest member of the RobiFix family, it measures only 80x30x140mm. Safety is provided by integrated touch protection rated at IP2X unmated and IP67 mated, as well as first-mate last-break connection.

A high frequency 16mm2 cable for operation in the 3 to 10kHz range is available from Multi-Contact. Due to the skin effect at high frequencies, its partly insulated single strands allow more efficient current flow by optimising the current density distribution.

The RobiFix-MINI connectors achieve their long term reliability through the use of MULTILAM technology, a proprietary contact system that uses multiple torsion spring contact elements that allow electrical contact to be made via a large number of contact points. This arrangement substantially reduces contact resistance and ensures strong resistance to shock and vibration.
