The Pcd Field Bus Interconnect System from Amphenol is now in stock at distributor CDM Electronics, The system offers a solution for an extensive array of harsh-environment applications while enabling users to quickly transform standard telecom and datacom mediums into military- and industrial-grade connectors.  The interconnect system features parts for RJ45, RJ11, and USB cable assemblies, along with network switches and memory flash drives.

Also included are the Atex Zone 2 Series, FireWire Series and µCom-10Bb+ Series. The devices are optimised for design flexibility and may be ordered in a variety of formats, styles and plating options. Notably, they are engineeredfor tool-less assembly and are field installable in 30 seconds.

Meeting the harshest environmental requirements of mission-critical military and industrial telecom and datacom applications, most Amphenol Pcd field bus connectors are IP67 or IP68 Certified.  These interconnects are highly appropriate for employment in data acquisition and transmission, battlefield communication C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance), rugged networks, mobile communications, combat vehicles, avionic and shipboard systems, together with armoured vehicles and battleships.

The parts are equally well suited for oil and gas, industrial process control, outdoor data, VoIP, IPTV, robotics, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, motion control, telemaintenance, railway mass transit, aeronautics, geophysics and drilling applications.

Amphenol Pcd field bus products support Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) Initialisation Protocol (FIP), PROFIBUS and DeviceNet networksThey are moreover compatible withCat 5, Cat 5e or Cat 6 cabling and are available in standard flange, jam-nut and cable-mount versions.  Standard plating options include RoHS-compliant black, RoHS-compliant green zinc nickel, RoHS-compliant nickel, olive drab cadmium or marine-grade bronze
