ERNI's MiniBridge now meets Koshiri Security requirements
ERNI has expanded its popular 1.27mm pitch MiniBridge cable connector family with the introduction of a robust version that is increasing in popularity in automotive LED/lighting applications. The single row MiniBridge Koshiri connectors offer significantly higher mating integrity and protection from improper skew insertion.
High speed and high performance
ODU is expanding the portfolio for its ODU-MAC and now offers HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0 modules in the standard portfolio. With a service life of at least 5,000 mating cycles, the specialist in electrical connector technology can now guarantee the reliable and loss-free transmission of signals and data.
A good fit saves extra space
The range of Ultra-Fit power connectors from Molex has been introduced by RS Components. The connectors bring the reliable, easy mating advantages and space saving design of the Fit family into wire-to-board applications up to 14A for equipment such as white goods, automotive systems, industrial automation, medical technology, lighting and telecoms.
High precision OCXO comes with SMA connector
The OS364-13 package is targeted at HF communications equipment, system synchronisation and precision reference applications. The OS364-13 series offers a unique 1.5" square package of OCXO with an SMA connector. This OS365-13OCXO can be used as a low phase noise frequency standard with a typical phase noise value of 115dBc/Hz at 10Hz.
Power connectors fit to last a long time
The Ultra-Fit power connectors from Molex are in stock at RS Components. The connectors deliver reliable, easy-mating advantages and space-saving design of the Fit family into wire-to-board applications up to 14A for equipment such as white goods, automotive systems, industrial automation, medical technology, lighting and telecoms.
New facility combines assembly and manufacturing
The manufacturing operations of Intelliconnect have been combined into one large facility, based in Corby, Northamptonshire. Connector manufacturing has been moved from its Chelmsford base where it will be joined by the Cable Harness Division. The new facility occupies 3,000ft2 and has an air-conditioned test room accommodating electrical and environmental cycling, mechanical inspection equipment and product test facilities.
Detecting fires before they happen
Smouldering cables are a frequent cause of fires. However, new sensors that analyse the plastic vapours released by overheated insulating cables are helping detect these fires at an early stage. Scientists at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences have developed these hybrid sensors that combine measurement processes with data evaluation. A smouldering cable can be detected with a little luck before it starts burning.
CAN bus capable of low temperature operation
A new specialised cable has been developed by Hradil Spezialkabel for use in extremely low temperatures. The CAN bus line has a small outside diameter and has been designed for minimal bending radius and high data throughput – making it well suited for high bay deep freeze facilities, i.e. for controlling stacker cranes with integrated video cameras.
Buccaneer range extended
The Buccaneer range of environmentally sealed power and data connectors from Bulgin has been extended with the introduction of the new Buccaneer 4000 Series. Building on the Buccaneer 6000 and 7000 Series of quick locking connectors, this latest offering provides the same twist lock coupling and ‘fit and forget’ connectivity in a more compact format, making it easier for product engineers to integrate them into their system designs.
Dual-connector for data transfer between MacBook and other devices
Following its award-winning Lightning and USB 3.0 flash drive iKlips for iOS devices, Adam Elements now presents a dual connector storage innovation for MacBook. ROMA comes with both a USB-C connector and a standard USB 3.1 plug, which can be easily swivelled around.
