Ethernet cables offer fire resistance to improve passenger safety
A leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, Belden, has received approval from the United Nations’ Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) on two of its cabling products.
Connector incorporates special spring terminal for connectivity
A leader in connectivity and sensors, TE Connectivity (TE), unveiled the K-type thermocouple connector at SPS IPC Drives. It incorporates a special spring terminal concept that ensures superior connectivity compared with the traditional screw type termination.
Modular connector 'CAN' identify machine-level components
A CAN (Controller Area Network) module has been added to HARTING's range of Han-Modular ID smart connectors. CAN is a bus system for automation and control which features a number of advantages such as high functional reliability and the ability to operate in demanding and harsh conditions.
Waterproof connector delivers high currents
A fully shielded high current connector capable of supporting up to 200A has been developed by Hirose. The waterproof connector is IP68/IPX9K rated, offering resistance to dust, dirt, water, oil and other fluids that could damage the connector.
Power and data solutions launched for evolving IIoT needs
A leader in signal transmission solutions for mission critical applications, Belden, has added connectors, cordsets and modules to Lumberg Automation’s LioN-Power system. These additions further support the need for more power, space-savings and higher data transmission required by the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
High-temp cable assembly suits ruggedised applications
An extended temperature version of Samtec's FireFly Active Optical Micro Flyover Cable Assembly has been released. The ETUO series supports temperature ranges of -40 to 85°C. The ETUO series shares the core features of Samtec’s existing ECUO series FireFly Active Optical Micro Flyover Cable Assembly.
Harsh environment connector sees new 12-pole version
Now available in a 12-pole version, the recently introduced HEC (Harsh Environment Connector) from Binder is known as series 696, and the HEC connector is protected to IP68, IP69k, and can withstand high-pressure washing. The connector also has resistance to UV, temperature fluctuations, acid rain, salt spray, ozone and other pollutants.
Industrial automation components showcased at electronica
A range of industrial automation components was unveiled by Bulgin on stand B2.271 at this year’s electronica exhibition. This bi-annual event, which took place from 8th-11th of November in Munich, was the first opportunity to see the M Series interconnects, which have been designed to offer flexible connectivity solutions for a variety of rugged automation applications.
RF cables feature extremely low loss
HUBER+SUHNER has announced key additions to its SPUMA cable series. SPUMA cables are widely specified wherever the situation demands extremely low loss characteristics and the new cables will further increase the range of application for SPUMA products across industry sectors such communications and defence.
Refined connector range showcased at SPS IPC Drives
