Terminal series expanded for currents up to 120A
With REDCUBE PRESS-FIT, Würth Elektronik eiSos offers high current contacts, which, thanks to their press-fit termination resulting in cold welding, boast two advantages: a mechanically extremely robust connection and minimal contact resistance. REDCUBE PLUG expands this product group with an innovative terminal module for detachable wire-to-board connections. REDCUBE PLUG is also suited for tool-free assembly in hard-to-access places.
Battery connectors suited to industrial applications
Manufacturer and supplier of passive components and interconnect solutions, AVX, has released the new 9155-700 series 2mm-pitch right angle board-to-board battery connectors, which are rated for 125VAC, up to 2A, and 5,000-cycle durability. The connectors have been designed to provide miniaturised, mechanically stable, high-integrity connections in harsh environment applications subject to high shock and vibration.
Connectors have maximum operating frequency of 6 GHz
Pasternack has released 18 new 4.3-10 connectors and adapters with maximum operating frequency of 6 GHz and VSWR as low as 1.08:1. Typical applications include custom cable assemblies, feeder cables, mobile communications systems, base stations, distributed antenna systems (DAS) and small cells. Pasternack’s new 4.3-10 connectors and adapters feature low coupling torque and low-PIM performance of -166 dBc typical.
Investment supports 5G development in North America
A significant supply agreement has been awarded to Prysmian Group from the US telecom company Verizon Communications to support the company’s US network expansion around a next-gen fibre platform that will speed the deployment of 5G services, while improving 4G LTE and other broadband capacity. The three-year contract is worth approximately $300m and will include supply of more than 17 million fibre kilometres of ribbon and loose ...
Wire-to-board connector replaces traditional terminal blocks
Designer and manufacturer of connector solutions, HIROSE, has launched a user-friendly, wire-to-board connector for LED lighting module applications. The KN27 series was developed to replace traditional terminal blocks in LED lighting module applications. The design eliminates the need to screw down the connection and check for loosened terminal block screws, and offers a more reliable termination that reduces installation variation, time, and co...
Cable harness solutions suit low/high volume applications
Cost effective cable harness solutions for both low and high volume requirements are available at Intelliconnect. Based on their recently-introduced low cost Taurus connector series, cable assemblies can be supplied with RG style cables including RG58, RG316, RG174, RG178 and low cost LMR cables.
DIN-rail mounting terminal blocks enable quick connections
Provider of performance engineered interconnection and enclosures, CamdenBoss, has launched a new range of high quality rising clamp DIN-rail mounting terminal blocks that provide a quick and effective means of making pluggable connections into DIN-rail enclosures while saving valuable PCB real estate inside the enclosure. With the growth of electronics and electrical applications making use of DIN-rail mounting systems, the need for inventi...
Push-in conductor connection clamps enable quick attachment
Wires and cables often have to be connected to copper busbars when manufacturing control gear and switchgear systems. The conventional approach is time-consuming and uses screw clamps or fixed conductor connection clamps. With a new generation of maintenance-free conductor connection clamps utilisng push-in technology, Rittal now offers what it claims to be the fastest method of easily and securely connecting conductors to busbars.
Three-In-One Cable: CAN-Bus, Ethernet Cat. 7 and 300V Power Supply
Typically it will be used aboard heavy-duty machinery in open-cast mining and road construction work. Here, extreme mechanical conditions such as vibrations and high tensile loads conspire to make life hell for the cables. The best is yet to come, however: even though HRADIL’s cable consists of three separate cables “rolled” into one it has a cross-section of just 23.6 mm. Compared with other conventional single cables it i...
Coaxial connectors are IP67 and IP68 rated
Distributor Rutronik has presented the new Nautilus N connector of GradConn’s popular Nautilus range. These IP rated coaxial connectors and cables assemblies are available on Rutronik's website. The new Nautilus N connector variant is available in rear mount configuration. Its internal seal and O-ring prevent ingress through the inner contact and through the panel.
