VEROTEC, www.verotec.co.uk, a UK-based company newly created by two ex-APW senior managers, Tim Armstrong and Mel Young, has purchased the metal enclosures standard product lines from the APW receivers. Manufacturing of all items is underway in a new facility from the original tooling, guaranteeing continuity of supply. Such well know brand names as the APW / VERO KM6-II subracks and accessories, Diplomat, LBX, Verotec Case, 1U fan trays, 19 Rack Case, Commsrak, slimline wall box and many others are back in full-scale production, enabling companies who had designed-in the products to continue to purchase.
The substantial order book on hand when APW ceased to trade will be fulfilled by Verotec. Verotec has recruited many ex-APW employees with extensive knowledge and experience of the design, engineering, manufacturing and customisation of the products. The traditionally high Vero quality, fit and finish will be maintained. Routes to market throughout Europe have been secured with new agreements in place with the network of distributors who were previously supplied by APW.

Verotec offers three main services: The supply of standard catalogue products; Systems integration, in which assembled enclosures, fitted with open architecture or custom backplanes, power supplies and other required components, are supplied on short lead times to customer-specific requirements; The design and supply of custom enclosures and backplanes, designed and developed in-house using two different CAD systems, Pro Engineer for mechanical design and Mentor Graphics for backplanes.
