Improving security, EMKA has added central network wireless control and RFID transponder swipe card technologies to its programme 3000 AGENT E swinghandle. Designed for data cabinet protection, the swinghandle can be used wirelessly, on its own, or networked in groups controlled via an RJ45 linked ProxLock module supplemented by personal RFID transponder card identification.

The updated AGENT E swinghandle forms a flexible security module within an expandable network, making it suitable for server cabinets or machine controls where unauthorised access is likely to put personnel, machine or information safety at risk from tampering, vandalism/sabotage, data theft or inappropriate usage.

The swinghandle, which is equipped with a covert USB connection for emergency power/opening and memory log download on standalone versions, features card readers which operate on 125kHz or 13.56MHz. On network ‘master’ and ‘slave’ units, the AGENT E swinghandle retains its finger touch release and green and red LED indicators which identify the operating window.

For multi-point locking, the AGENT E swinghandle is compatible with other EMKA door closure equipment such as cams and rod controls. Door contact sensors can also be linked to all versions.
