Meeting the particularly strict requirements for cooling solutions for industrial cabinets in corrosive and harsh production environments, such as the food, drinks and pharmaceuticals industries, Pentair offers the Hoffman WCHE series of air/water heat exchangers. Completely closed to the outside environment, neither dust nor water can enter these filterless cooling systems.

Additionally, the air/water heat exchangers do not pollute the surroundings with waste heat from the cabinet. Operating over an ambient temperature range from +5 to +70°C, with an internal cabinet temperature from +10 to +50°C, the WCHE series heat exchangers use a supply voltage of 230V and as standard are supplied in powder-coated steel plate (stainless steel versions are available on request).

Regulated by a magnetic valve in the water circuit, the WCHE series offers cooling capacities from 870W-12,500kW and additional thermal protection is offered by integrated fans. The Hoffman WCHE series of air/water heat exchangers are certified to NEMA type 12 (IP 55), CE and GOST (Russian Standard) and UL-certified units are also available.

If a water supply is not available in the production setting, Pentair recommends the Hoffman PROAIR series of air conditioners. Specifically designed for use in corrosive and dusty environments or situations subject to spray water, these air conditioners are available as powder-coated versions in steel plate (IP 56) or in NEMA 4X stainless steel (IP 66).

Operating over a temperature range from -40 to +55°C, the PROAIR series utilse the environmentally-friendly R134a refrigerant and robust compressors. Available with various operating voltages (115, 230 and 460V) and cooling capacities (400-2000 W), these compact air conditioners is extremely simple: the front cover offers rapid access to all components; and the fins of the condenser can be cleaned while the unit remains fitted in the housing.
