Rittal have announced that its thermostatic electric cooler is ideally suited for command panels and support arm systems. Featuring compact size, light weight and low‑vibration operation, the Rittal thermoelectric cooling unit provides flexible and lightweight cooling for a heating solution that offers precise climate control.

Ideal for accurately controlling the temperature to ±1 K in small enclosures providing 100 W of both heating and cooling, the thermostatic electric cooler can be fitted externally or, if space around the enclosure is at a premium, it can be fitted internally (leaving only 55 mm protruding outside). Requiring no refrigerant or chilled water to function, Rittal’s cooler needs only an electrical power supply and can be installed either horizontally or vertically on the wall or door of the cabinet.

There are two versions of rittal's thermostatic electric cooler available: a 24 V DC and a 100‑230 V AC variant. Offering a truly scalable and modular solution, the optional master/slave adaptor can be used to connect multiple units.

Rittal’s thermoelectric cooler is incredibly simple: the only moving parts are fans moving air across either side of the solid‑state element. Reducing the levels of vibration and noise, both acoustic and electrical, this simple design reduces the risk of component failure and maintenance requirements. Supplied complete with a USB cable and software, it is easy to both set up and monitor operational parameters.
