Rapid Electronics has added to its extensive range of enclosures from Hammond Manufacturing, with new families of flat lid and styled lid small enclosures and retro-style instrument cases.

Available in both ABS and polycarbonate, the 1554 flat lid and 1555 styled lid ranges of environmentally sealed enclosures are designed to house printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components, the bases being fitted as standard with internal DIN rail mounting tabs and standoffs for mounting PCBs or panels. Manufactured in sixteen sizes (from 65 x 65 x 40mm to 200 x 120 x 90mm) in five different styles, the 80-strong range is designed to meet IP66. All lids feature a poured gasket tongue and groove seal; styled lids include a recess suitable for mounting a keypad or label and in addition to the flat and styled self-coloured lids, the polycarbonate versions are also available with a transparent flat lid.

Three new ranges of desktop chassis instrument enclosures bring back the elegance and style of a forgotten age. All three models are ideal for retro-style hi-fi equipment and other consumer-facing products where appearance is as important as function. The HWCHAS series consists of a complete walnut frame fitted with aluminium top and optional base panels, available with either a black powder coat or natural finish. The 1444CWW and the 1441CWW families are fabricated from aluminium or steel respectively, fitted with walnut end panels to the shorter sides. The aluminium version has a natural finish; the steel has a black powder coat finish.

Rapid Electronics now stocks nearly 50 different Hammond enclosure ranges, encompassing over 600 product lines. As an official Hammond supplier, Rapid also offers access to the complete Hammond range. So if you can’t find a Hammond product on our website, let the company know and they will order it for you.
