Hylec-APL will be showcasing a range of general purpose junction box enclosures on Stand E28 at ELEX in Exeter, 21st – 22nd April 2016. The IP66-rated DN range of junction box enclosures includes a 35mm DIN rail and mounting screws for simpler mounting of terminal blocks, relays and connectors. In addition, the DN range carries multiple slots for vertical PCB mounting, making this product a flexible choice for both electrical and electronic applications.

Manufactured from flame-retardant ABS, the DN Range is sealed to IP66 specifications, meaning it is totally dust tight and provides protection against water jets, waves and rain. This exceptional robustness also extends to meet the IK08 impact standard. The 35mm DIN rail section supplied with the enclosure can be cut to fit, which simplifies installation for electrical contractors. For use with electronic components, the DN Range has a very useful feature: multiple slots that enable PCBs to be mounted vertically within the enclosure, sitting on pillars. Captive plastic screws in the lid mean no more dropped or missing screws.

The new DN Range is keenly priced and available in five sizes ranging between 125x125x75mm and 175x125x125mm, all in light grey RAL 7035 ABS with either matching solid grey or transparent lids.

Andy Hatter, Hylec-APL, comments: “The IP66 DN range is a very flexible solution for the vast number of applications needing protection against water ingress that also house components requiring either visual checking or frequent access. They will withstand repeated opening and closing with no loss of sealing integrity. We are delighted to be showcasing the IP66 DN range for the first time at ELEX this year and its pricing represents excellent value for money.”
