Retex has introduced the Series 68 range, a series of high impact diecast enclosures with IP68 rated protection. Made from aluminium alloy and consisting of six sizes, the new range of enclosures are well suited to outdoor applications where increased protection is required both from atmospheric conditions as well as impacts.

Each Series 68 enclosure is equipped with a neoprene seal as standard to offer excellent sealing properties in a wide temperature range, from -40 degrees C to +130 degrees C. For more extreme temperature environments, an optional silicone seal is available on request to extend the operating range to -60 degrees C up to +200 degrees C.

As part of the excellent protection and anti-corrosion package, the Series 68 enclosures are available in natural aluminium colour or powder coated in black or grey. Other powder coated colours are available on request as well as cathodic dip coatings. these offer effective and long lasting corrosion and chemical resistance.

"This new range of enclosures provides excellent protection qualities for electronic equipment and it is ideal for applications where shielding is required against electromagnetic interference or radio frequency interference," commented Alan Lewis, Business Development Manager for Retex UK.

The lids are held in place by the stainless steel M4 pins, while inside the enclosure there are a number of M4 fixing points as well as an earth terminal, to ensure correct earthing practice is maintained. The range also includes enclosure accessories such as mounting plates, external wall mounting brackets, and DIN rails for retaining equipment.
