Now available in the UK from Aerco is a range of DC fans from ADDA built in a 70 x70 x 38mm frame size. Previously, this range of fans was only available in a maximum thickness of 25mm and the new size results in over 50% increase in airflow, making the AD0712UB ideal for demanding cooling applications.

Operating from a nominal 12VDC supply, this dramatic increase in airflow and improvement in static pressure performance is due to the increase in frame thickness, a new Dynamic Static (DS) impeller system and improved motor technology. As a result the speed of the AD0712UB is raised from 4,500 to 6,500 rev/min with a resultant airflow performance of 27.5 litres/sec (60.30 CFM).

Despite this high motor speed, the advanced motor technology and precision ball bearing system ensures a life expectancy of 50,000 hours at 40ºC and 65% relative humidity. These new fans can be supplied with the various ‘intelligent’ functions including any combination of alarm warning, speed detection (tacho), temperature sensing and PWM.

ADDA has introduced a range of these 38mm DS impeller fans in frame sizes of 70, 80, 92, 120 and 127mm.
