Bulgin’s new range of IP67 rated plastic enclosures combine a host of practical features to provide a unique package ideal for applications such as control stations and electrical & electronic control equipment where protection from dust and water is necessary.
Complimenting Bulgin’s ranges of sealed connectors the BE enclosure range is available in 3 sizes, all 53mm deep. Size 1 measures 80mm x 72mm, size 2 measures 80mm x 106mm and size 3 measures 80mm x 139mm.

The enclosures combine corrosion resistance and lightweight properties with high impact strength in a choice of two plastic materials; ABS with a UL94-HB rating and Polycarbonate with a UL94-V0 rating. The lids and bases can be supplied in alternative colours; the bases in grey or black and the lids in grey, black, yellow, transparent or smoke grey. Plastic screws complete this corrosion-proof package.

Temperature rating for the ABS version is from -20°C to +85°C and the Polycarbonate material is from -20˚C to +100˚C.

Mounting accessories include an easy to fix, rail mounting bracket for both TS32 and TS35 type DIN rails while external panel fixing brackets allow the enclosures to be easily mounted either within cabinets or in more exposed applications where dust and moisture could prove a problem to system reliability.

Each enclosure includes two moulded knock-outs with M20 thread suitable for use with the matching standard M20 cable glands. These will maintain the IP rating whilst allowing for two separate cable entry points for cables between 3.5 - 7mm in diameter.

Environmental sealing to IP67 provides dust and waterproof protection for short-term submersion to 1m depth.

Internally the enclosures have pre-moulded PCB fixings and slots allowing easy mounting of electronic boards.

The enclosure sizes and depths are specifically designed for use in control stations where 22mm switches and indicators are a standard fit. The size designations reflect the number of moulded holes available as a standard option for mounting these components.

This combination of features bring together a unique range of benefits to small enclosure applications. The enclosures are suitable for electrical and electronic packaging where harsh environments may exist or where a level of protection needs to be provided for susceptible components in such applications as food preparation/processing areas or wash-down environments through to outdoor installations for connection, switching or packaging.
