DATA MODUL presents a Pico-ITX Board based on Intel Atom processors (formerly codenamed “Bay Trail”) and equipped with up to 4GB DDR3L RAM. Heat sources such as CPU and RAM are located at the rear side of the PCB, for which available cooling solutions are a heat spreader, or a heat sink with a height of only 15mm. With the heat spreader, the eDM-pITX-BT can be directly adapted to a housing.

The flat cooling solutions are possible because of the low-power Intel processors, based on a 22nm production process. The integrated graphics are significantly more powerful than the previous Atom models and support DirectX 11, OpenGL 3, OpenCL 1.2 and high-performance, flexible hardware decoding, able to decode multiple high ressolution full HD videos at the same time.

Up to 2560x1600 pixels with DisplayPort are natively supported in the processor, which can also connect up to two independent display interfaces via 2x24-bit LVDS. The eDM-pITX-BT offers several further interfaces, including a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port, three USB 2.0 ports, two COM (one selectable RS232/422/485), eight GPIOs, one SATA, HD Audio and Gigabit Ethernet.

The eDM-pITX-BT is available in 2 CPU variants; the Intel Atom E3815, 1.46GHz with 5W power consumption, or the Intel Celeron J1900, 4x 2.42GHz, featuring 10W power consumption

As special highlight there are two onboard Mini-PCIe Slots (one of which features mSATA support). This offers plenty of expansion possibilities for many different applications, and the CAN 2.0 Bus is integrated specifically for industrial applications. A DC power jack or an internal Molex connector can be used for the +12VDC power supply.

DATA MODUL also offers suitable TFT Displays (AUO, Innolux, Sharp) including an adapted cable set, for this long-term available (for a minimum of seven years) SBC. Time-consuming display adaption is avoided, with the internal power source, most of the TFTs can be supplied directly by the board. A separate power supply for the backlight is not necessary.

As further service DATA MODUL offers firmware-development for Embedded-Systems, driver adaptions and OS-configurations, supporting Microsoft's Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit), Windows 8.X, Windows Embedded 7/8 Standard, Windows Embedded Compact 7, Windows Embedded Compact 2013 and Linux.
