ARBOR Technology announces the release of Arbor Em104-i230F PC/104 SBC Module. The SBC module is based on the Intel Atom processors E3800 family (formerly codenamed 'Bay Trail'). The PC/104 (96x90mm) SBC Module offers a compelling entry price for this form factor and the Intel Atom processors E3800 family features a low thermal design power (TDP) from 6 to 10W.

Innovations include a large L2 cache shared by multiple cores and a faster Intel HD graphics unit compared with the previous generation. This turns applications into visual experiences. The SBC Module supports Intel Advanced Encryption Standard New Instructions (Intel AES-NI) set, which is more relevant than ever in practical applications.

This allows developers to offload particularly compute-intensive packaging and encryption routines of the well-known cryptographic algorithm AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) into hardware, thereby enabling high performance encryption without putting a significant burden on the CPU cores.

The Em104-i230F SBC Module provides up to 8 GB fast DDR3L memory via one SO-DIMM socket. The integrated graphics is significantly more powerful than the previous model and supports DirectX 11, OpenGL 3, OpenCL 1.2 and high-performance, flexible hardware decoding to decode even multiple high-resolution full HD videos in parallel. Graphics interface supports Analog RGB with the resolution up to 2,048 x 1,536 pixels and the dual channels 24-bit LVDS, support two independent displays.

Two SATA interfaces with one SATA connector and one mSATA socket up to 3Gb/s enable fast and flexible system extension. Thanks to native USB 3.0 support, the board achieves fast data transmission with low power consumption. A total of two USB 2.0 ports are provided, and one USB 3.0 SuperSpeed port is supported. High interconnectivity is available through dual Gigabit Ethernets ports. Versatile I/O functions include four COM ports, PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse. Completing the feature set are the Watchdog Timer and 8-bit Digital I/O.
