Designed for integrated motion/vision application-based platforms, the IMB-M42H industrial ATX motherboard has been introduced by ADLINK Technology. The motherboard features the 4th gen Intel Core i7/i5/i3/Pentium/Celeron processor family and Intel H81 chipset. Compared to the predecessor, the IMB-M42H provides up to 18% better computing power and 80% better graphics performance with minimal power consumption.

Providing limitless PCIe expansion options for frame grabbers, digitisers and high-resolution dynamic signal acquisition and generation modules, the device is offered with one PCIe Gen2 x16 slot and one PCIe Gen2 x4 slot. The motherboard also has four PCI slots, providing PCI expansion options for motion capture and I/O ports. These expansion options enable instant implementation of machine vision and industrial automation operations. High bandwidth support with no image data loss is ensured by full-compatibility verification testing. Enabling stable and reliable connectivity of cameras or other devices, each USB port provides up to 1A power supply.

I/O interfaces include six COM ports (COM1/2 supporting RS232/422/485, COM1 supporting RS-485 automatic flow control for network communications), ten USB ports and an 8-bit 4-In/4-Out API sample code-ready GPIO. Enabling connections to USB 3.0 or GigE cameras, without requiring additional USB 3.0 or NIC cards, the IMB-M42H provides two USB 3.0 interfaces and one Intel i217V Giga LAN interface. This I/O connectivity removes the need for additional communications and trigger modules, lowering TCO.
