ATX motherboard enables remote device management

An industrial-grade ATX motherboard powered by a 4th generation Intel Core i processor has been introduced by Advantech. SIMB-A31, which also features the company’s SUSIAccess 2.0 Pro version, is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications such as automation, ATMs and kiosks.

SIMB-A31 comes with high connectivity and flexible expansion options including: one PCI x16 expansion slot, two PCIe x1, three PCI, six serial ports, two SATA III 600MB/s and one SATA II 300MB/s connector. It also has seven USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a keyboard/mouse port, and supports 8-bit digital programmable I/O along with three BTX type audio jacks. The nine USB and six serial ports can provide abundant connection possibilities for KIOSK/ATM system integrators to link and manage multiple peripherals. 

SIMB-A31 supports VGA+DVI, making it suitable for integrating with panel PC solutions. Featuring Intel HD graphics 2000/3000, the motherboard delivers outstanding graphics. SIMB-A31 is pre-loaded with SUSIAccess Pro 2.0, providing intelligent remote device management and monitoring. SUSIAccess Pro 2.0 allows users to remotely switch machines on and off, access the desktop, recover a system and configure protection features. SUSIAccess Pro 2.0 includes McAfee’s banking-level security for system protection. In addition, Acronis' data protection solution allows users to confidently access their data anytime, anywhere.

Supported OSs include Windows 7, Windows 7 Embedded, Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 embedded.
