DATA MODUL have announced the ECM-BYT, a new 3.5“ SBC powered by the latest Intel Atom processor E3800 product family or Intel Celeron N2920/J1900 processor - a System-on-Chip (SoC) formerly codenamed “Bay Trail”. Designed for intelligent systems and applications with low power consumption and high performance requirements, the ECM-BYT is based on the 22nm Silvermont microarchitecture.

A fanless design which supports one 204-pin DDR3L SODIMM system memory with up to 8GB DDR3L 1333/1600 SDRAM capacity, the ECM-BYT supports dual-channel 18/24-bit LVDS and dual display (CRT + LVDS, HDMI + LVDS or CRT + HDMI) configurations. The rich I/O deployment includes 1 x SATA II, 1 x mini-PCIe, 1 x USB 3.0, 3 x USB 2.0, 4 x COM, 8-bit DIO, Audio and 2 x Gigabit Ethernet which enables a variety of embedded applications.

Ideal for many intelligent systems, the new platform brings enhanced stereoscopic 3D capabilities, high-resolution graphics, data integrity, reliability, and system uptime to meet intelligent systems requirements. With a guaranteed long-term availability of at least 5 years, the ECM-BYT is also available as kit-solution with a wide range of TFT Displays (AUO, Sharp, Innolux,...) along with matching cable set and adapted Power-ON/OFF timing. Therefore a time intensive display adjustment process won´t be necessary anymore.
