Avalue Technology’s healthcare alliance partner, Bytec Healthcare based in the UK, have launched their intelligent Geni-Tec Battery Modules. The Mobile Geni-TecTM Module aids hospital staff with patient care workflow efficiencies, allowing them to access vital patient information whilst on the move around the Hospital with our range of Mobile Workstations.

“The Geni-TecTM Power System is the result of many years of development, and represents a game changing step in the integration of battery technology into mobile healthcare applications.” Bytec Healthcare CEO - Bernard Mifsud.

The Geni-Tec Battery Module is the first fully submersible power module of its kind, and has been tested to IP67 (NEMA6). IP67 Rating indicates the Battery Modules are resistant to dust and immersion in water of up to 1 meter. The IP Rating or Ingress Protection classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects into the device.

This Rating enables Healthcare clinicians to wash the Geni-Tec Battery Modules under running water, disinfect with NHS solutions, and deep clean without interfering with the Battery inside.

Although it is not recommended, or necessary, to submerge the Battery Module, it is safe to clean it thoroughly as there are no live power terminals on the exterior surface. The casing design is smooth and therefore easy to clean quickly and efficiently.
