Timesys has joined The Qt Company Partner Programme as a Technology Partner. As a recent member of The Qt Company’s Partner Programme, Timesys will expand its offerings to provide trial versions of Qt commercial in its LinuxLink product line. Whether choosing Timesys Factory or the Yocto Project build system, LinuxLink enables developers to quickly and easily leverage Qt’s pre-configured software stack which allows immediate deployment of software on a variety of embedded hardware.

To complement the expanded software offering, Timesys will bolster its support, services and training to assist developers in designing, implementing and maintaining Qt based applications and connected devices. The company offers support contracts, enabling developers to get help with their Qt based development when they need it. Timesys also offers consultation and services that address the design and review, modifications and optimisations of Qt based applications for embedded Linux based designs, enabling developers to leverage underlying hardware capabilities such as graphics acceleration. For development teams wanting to stay abreast of best practices and new developments, Timesys provides customised training.

“Qt is very popular in the design of embedded Linux based applications and is often the framework of choice for designs that require high-performing and complex UIs,” said Maciej Halasz, Vice President of Technology, Timesys. “Timesys has been supporting open source Qt development for years. Our relationship with The Qt Company combined with the expansion of our offering enables us to deliver increased options, support and expertise globally to developers who are choosing Qt for their UI development.”

“We are excited to welcome Timesys as an official Qt Technology Partner,” said Juhapekka Niemi, Vice President, The Qt Company. “Through this partnership, we believe Qt customers are gaining a valuable development resource in the embedded Linux space that will help them accelerate the design and delivery of their Qt based product.”
