Discomp, a subsidiary of Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH, was presented again with an award by Toshiba. With this year's Award of Appreciation for Business Commitment and Dedication, the distributor was distinguished for selling the most hard discs to the industrial market in 2009.

Toshiba and Discomp cooperate throughout Europe. Discomp, a Rutronik subsidiary is a well-known specialist for storage components, hard discs, disc drives and mainboards for the industrial market. With Toshiba’s 2.5-inch hard discs, Discomp targets applications in the industrial area, as these components are specially designed for the high demands of industrial applications such as extended temperature range, continuous operation (24x7), and guaranteed long-term availability.

PC components for the industrial market require intensive consultation; around 90 percent of our sales volume with Toshiba products is generated through design-in, explains Frank Bittigkoffer, Director Discomp. For this reason, we are very proud that Toshiba honoured our success again with this award. However, this is only possible because Toshiba is always a very reliable partner offering outstanding technical support and excellent products specially designed for the high demands of the industrial market.

Discomp is one of our most important partners and is also very successful in selling our products. Even during the crisis year of 2009, Discomp was the best-selling distributor for our hard discs in the industrial area, adds Stefan Held, Sales Manager EMEA at Toshiba. This confirms the technical competence, the comprehensive support and the great commitment of the distributor. Also for the future, a very positive development is already apparent and we are looking forward to our continued cooperation.
