Quantum Research Group (UK) announces its new sales office in Shinjuku, Tokyo and the appointment of Mr Kazuo Nozawa to head this office as Country Manager for Japan.
Mr Nozawa’s previous commercial experience includes 20 years in factory automation and 6 years in business development for electronic components including touch sensors. He will be responsible for sales, marketing, and customer relationships with regard to Quantum’s touch control chips as well as touch sensor technology licensing.

“By opening our new Tokyo office and appointing Mr Nozawa to lead it, we are signaling our strong commitment to the Japanese market for capacitive touch controls and touch screens”, says Hal Philipp, CEO and founder of Quantum Research Group. “Japanese demand for our sensor products is very intense; our new office will allow us to meet this demand in a way that fits the needs of the Japanese customer. Our approach to this important market will involve a mixture of chip sales and technology licensing. With his recent sales and management background in the touch controls sector, Mr Nozawa is ideally suited to manage this office”. Mr Nozawa will be working together with Mr Paul Russell, Quantum’s recent applications engineering manager appointment for Japan, to provide complete support for Quantum’s valued Japanese customers, distributors, and licensees.

Quantum’s Japanese distribution partners are Kaga Electronics Co. Ltd and Kyoshin Technosonic, both with head offices in Tokyo. License partners in Japan will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
