Quadrant, the Hertfordshire-based electronics component distributor and cable assembly manufacturer, has formed a new manufacturing subsidiary in Slovakia. The new company, known as Quadrant Connections Slovakia, is based in Presov, the country’s third largest city. The new company employs 40 people and is equipped to the same standards and level of capability as the Radlett headquarters providing a wide ranging manufacturing capability serving both UK and overseas customers while providing support to Quadrant’s growing customer base in Eastern Europe.

A new high capacity, over-moulding facility has recently been installed in Presov and the new facility provides full panel and box-build capability manufacturing coaxial and multi-wire cable assemblies of many types including: wiring harnesses and panels incorporating flexible coaxial, conformable coaxial, semi-rigid coaxial and non-coaxial cables.

Mike Wood, Quadrant sales and marketing director, points out that the same high standards are employed in all Quadrant manufacturing plants saying: “Quadrant Connections Slovakia operates to the same exacting standards that we have always employed in Radlett and other sites where we have had manufacturing agreements. Quadrant has manufactured in Eastern Europe for many years and the fact that we now have our own company in this region will be of great benefit to our customers in all areas as it allows us to call on cost-effective manufacturing services as required while placing a wealth of engineering expertise and product knowledge in an area that is strategically important to our future growth plans.”
