Omron strengthens European sensor engineering team
Omron Electronics Components Business - Europe has strengthened the sensor field applications engineering team in Munich by making two new appointments. Omron has brought Masashige Fukumoto to Munich from the factory in Kurayoshi, Japan, to offer his design insights to European customers, and to assist in the development of customised solutions to address local applications. At the same time, it has appointed Andreas Barth, a touch sensor expert with a background in semiconductors and software development tools, as European touch sensor specialist. Both will work alongside Jens Vogt, market development manager - sensor products.
CommMasashige Fukumoto has been with Omron in Kurayoshi for eight years, and has been integral to the design and development of Omron's MEMS flow technology and sensor product range, a technology that allows ultra sensitive flow detection with outstanding accuracy and repeatability.
Andreas Barth brings Omron the benefit of seven years application engineering experience in the field of microcontrollers. He joins from IAR Systems, where he was technical support manager. Barth holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Jena, Germany.
