MSC Gleichmann UK, Lattice Semiconductor and Atmel have announced a series of workshops aimed at helping engineers to develop systems that combine microcontrollers (MCUs) and field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
In addition to the latest developments in MCU and FPGA technology, delegates will learn about the use of supporting hardware and software, including operating systems, software libraries and development tools.

Paying attendees at the two events will each receive three development kits, worth £89 in total. The Atmel AT32UC3A3-XPLD and ATAVRDRAGON platforms enable development of high-speed communications and low cost applications respectively, while the Lattice LCMXO2-1200ZE-P1-EVN is a cost-effective platform for the evaluation of the company's MACHXO2 PLDs.

The first two events in the series take place on June 12 in Manchester and June 14 in Cambridge. Places are limited, and attendance, which costs £49.99, is by advance registration only.
