Miteq Appoints Link Microtek As Exclusive Representative For Satcom Product Line

Serving both the military and commercial markets, MITEQ designs and manufactures standard and customised satellite communications equipment such as frequency converters, redundancy switchover units, equalisers, test translators and uplink power control systems, while MCL specialises in high-power TWTAs (travelling wave tube amplifiers).

Stuart Hendry, Link Microtek's Sales Director, was enthusiastic about the new agreement: We are delighted to have been appointed as MITEQ's representative for satcom products. As well as adding a world-class range of products to our portfolio for satellite and ground-based communications, this agreement strengthens and complements our capability to offer off-the-shelf and customised end-to-end solutions to our commercial and military customers.

Link Microtek is expecting particular interest in MITEQ's family of patented 1/3-rack space-saving products. Each housed in a 1/3-width, 1U-high package, these 'building blocks' allow three times as much functionality to be integrated into the rack space of a traditional 19in. unit.
