Maxwell Technologies Announces Senior Management Appointments

Maxwell Technologies has expanded the scope of Vice President Michael Liedtke's responsibilities to include business development, market intelligence and strategic planning, appointed Van M. Andrews vice president, ultracapacitor sales and marketing and promoted Jeremy Cowperthwaite to the newly created position of vice president, ultracapacitor engineering.
Liedtke joined Maxwell's executive team in 2006. Previously, he spent eight years with BMW's California-based DesignworksUSA, and before that held a series of auto, truck and bus design project management positions with Mercedes Benz and its Freightliner truck division. Andrews most recently was vice president of North American sales with D-Link Corp. and previously was president & CEO of U.S. Robotics, general manager of Gateway Computers' Business-to-Business unit and general manager of Toshiba America Information Systems' Computer Systems Division. Cowperthwaite joined Maxwell in 2007 as senior director of engineering for BOOSTCAP® products. Previously he had held a series of senior engineering and product development positions with Maxtor Corp., and Quantum Corp.
