James Bell appointed Head of Sales at Rapid Electronics

Rapid Electronics has made a significant addition to its senior management team with the appointment of James Bell as Head of Sales. James brings a wealth of industry experience to the Colchester-based electronic components distributor. Having started his electronics career in his native South Africa, James spent 15 years in a range of management positions at Premier Farnell, achieving significant sales growth for the company throughout Europe. Most recently managing director in UK and Ireland, he played an industry leading role in Farnell’s implementation of the RoHS directive.

James says of his appointment: ‘I am incredibly excited by what can be achieved at Rapid. With its loyal customer base and expanding product range, Rapid has huge potential. With the help of my outstanding sales team I will be looking to significantly grow the company’s market share with focused sales initiatives and even closer customer relationships.’
