JAOtech has announced the launch of a 32” version of its Inix Smart Healthcare PC TV. The new Smart TV complements the existing 40” Inix and is suited to hospitals and clinics with smaller private rooms and wards. Pioneering technology has been adopted in the design of the Inix range with a full High Definition LED display and built-in embedded computer powered by an Intel® Atom D525 processor.
Combining a stylish healthcare design with practical infection control features, Inix supports multiple hospital applications such as patient entertainment, meal ordering, nurse service calling and patient consultation. The Inix’s newly developed gesture remote control which has a full keyboard on the reverse side is ideal for inputting data, writing emails and social networking. In addition the TV is also compatible with JAOtech’s existing Wyki wireless keyboard.

The Inix is the first of its kind to be designed specifically for the healthcare environment. The unit has a fully flat front glass screen which is easy clean, splash proof and tested with the majority of hospital cleaning agents. It is compatible with hospital processes designed to control infection risks.

Driven by a cool-running Intel Atom processor, the Inix has a silent, fanless design and is extremely power efficient. Technology features include an HDMI input, three USB ports, a LAN port and a card slot, this provides connectivity for additional accessories such as pillow speakers and webcams. The unit supports Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
