TTI, Inc., the global distributor of passive, interconnect, relay & switch and discrete components, has opened a new connector assembly facility at its European headquarters outside of Munich. The company aims to offer fast delivery on low volume and prototype quantities, and is also able to satisfy scheduled volume orders.
TTI has a major US-based connector assembly facility already where the company assembles over 30,000 circular connectors per day achieving very high quality levels with a defect rate of less then 25ppm. Now the company has called upon over 40 years experience to mirror the US plant in Germany. Initially the Munich facility will focus on Amphenol MIL-DTL38999 Series I and III, and SJT circular connectors, offering all shell sizes, layouts types in cadmium olive drab and electroless nickel plated finishes... TTI will also be able to offer all required connector accessories including heat-shrinkable tubing, adapters, terminals, contacts and backshell parts.

Comments Ros Kruger, Industry Marketing Director, Europe – Military, Aero and Space, TTI, Inc.: “Investing in state of the art tooling we have been able to refine our processing methods to reduce assembly time, which - coupled with our large piece component inventory and build to stock policy - means that we can be confident that we can achieve very fast and reliable turn around on assembled connectors. All our operators have been intensely trained by Amphenol and our expert North American team so we can ensure the highest levels of quality that people have come to expect from TTI. We are excited to be able to offer our military and aerospace customers this new service helping them to vendor reduce their supply base further.”
