RS Components, is extensively increasing its range of RS Essentials products with the addition of new thermal management materials. The value priced range offers excellent heat management properties and can assist in driving down the overall BoM costs.
New products in the RS Essentials range include gel gap fillers, graphite interfaces, composite pads and thermal compounds, offering cost effective alternatives without compromising on quality. The new gel gap fillers are available in a variety of colours and present excellent thermal conductivity with 90% conformability combined with low hardness (Shore 00) and low oil bleed to give long term stability. The inclusion of graphite interface material in the Essentials range will enable customers to source a material that offers ultra high thermal conductivity with ease of use and UL 94 approval. Further, the material is highly stable and can operate in conditions of -40oC to +200oC.

A wide variety of thermal compounds and greases are also incorporated in the range, which when applied in a very thin layer fill the small voids within the surfaces and help increase surface contact. The RS Essentials compounds feature excellent thermal conductivity properties from 1.8 W/m.k to 5 W/m.k, are highly stable and are easy to assemble without hardening. All products in the portfolio meet RoHS compliancy standards.

“The RS Essentials range combines the best product quality together with the best value for our customers.” commented Chris Page, Electronics General Manager for RS. “The new thermal management materials and interfaces are enabling us to bring first-rate commodity products to market that can help drive down the BoM costs.”
