Cypress Semiconductor Corp. today announced that over 50,000 users have registered for the Cypress Developer Community, an online forum for sharing design tips, videos, and blogs on the company’s PSoC programmable system-on-chip platform and other technologies.
Available at developer.cypress.com, the design community now offers nine individual support forums, organized by product type.

Since its launch, the increasingly interactive site has grown its content to include 12 blogs written by Cypress technical experts and more than 140 videos. The community recently launched PSoC Today!, an engineering talk show featuring hands-on demos and interviews pertaining to the latest PSoC technology, projects and people. New webisodes are available every Tuesday and Thursday.

The Cypress Developer Community rewards store is exclusively available to members of the online community. Members are eligible to receive Rewards Dollars based on a point system which rewards activities such as posting and answering questions within the community. Members can exchange Rewards Dollars for a wide variety of valuable items ranging from Cypress apparel to electronics, and now discounts on Cypress Development and Evaluation Kits. Cypress is the first semiconductor provider to offer an online design community rewards store.

The Cypress Developer Community’s forums focus primarily on the company’s flagship PSoC® programmable system-on-chip devices. Design engineers can also post questions and comments in sections dedicated to device programming, solutions to design problems, and the programmable analog and digital resources and applications for each of the architectures. Additional product forums address USB controllers, memory, clocks and buffers, along with a range of applications and Cypress’s University Alliance.

“The Cypress Developer Community continues to evolve as more content and more community members breed more interactivity,” said Joe McCarthy, Senior Director of Corporate Marketing Communications at Cypress. “The site is now a vibrant meeting place where engineers are sharing tips and tricks and helping each other solve problems.”
