Computer Simulation Technology and SMARTTECH Tecnologia Serv. E Sist Ltda have announced a partnership to develop the Brazilian market for ElectroMagnetic (EM) simulation in the field of microwave applications, electromagnetic compatibility, electronics and sensors as well as specialised topics such as particle dynamics.

Evaluating EM fields from devices and any possible interference is becoming mandatory as we are surrounded by more and more electronics in our daily lives. Wireless devices, GPS, cell phones, antennas, appliances, medical equipment, vehicles etc. are all sources of EM fields that need to be evaluated or optimised in order to deliver the required performance while complying with all applicable safety standards.

CST develops high performance 3D EM simulation tools including CST STUDIO SUITE for the design, simulation and optimisation of a wide range of devices.

Smarttech is a well-known provider of mechanical simulation tools and services for the Brazilian market. Major industries such as automotive and aerospace have been provided with the best in class simulators from Dassault-SIMULIA. With the addition of CST electromagnetic simulation capabilities, a complete portfolio of tools including multiphysics capabilities can now be offered by Smarttech.

Dr. Ralf Ehmann, Sales Director, CST, commented: “We have been active in the Brazilian market for more than a decade. With the experience and market knowledge of Smarttech, we are confident we will serve our Brazilian customers even better together.”

“Due to its accurate, fast and easy-to-use tools, I believe that CST STUDIO SUITE offers the best solution on the market. It is the design tool of choice of hundreds of leading companies worldwide. Electromagnetic simulation capabilities of the CST software tools will be a perfect fit for our portfolio of engineering simulation tools and will allow the realistic simulation of multiphysics phenomena,” added Sergio Rodrigues, Vice President, SMARTTECH.
