Conference's seminars & keynotes to address various power topics

At PCIM Europe 2015, taking place from 19th to 21st May in Nuremberg, about 400 exhibitors will present their latest products, solutions and innovations to an international specialist audience. With the global players of the industry, as well as numerous new exhibitors, PCIM Europe can once more prove its relevance as the internationally leading meeting point for the power electronics community.

As an additional highlight, an excellent programme awaits the visitors at the two free of charge visitor forums in the exhibition halls. At the industry forum associations, specialist media and companies will present their most current projects or provide insights into the power electronics market and recognised experts will take part in discussions on the most recent topics. At the exhibitor forum more than 50 exhibiting companies will present their newest developments and innovations and thereby offer a diverse programme.

With more than 250 presentations on technological trends in power electronics components and systems, the conference programme offers a comprehensive overview of the latest power electronics topics. A highlight at the beginning of each of the three days of the conference are the three keynote speeches The State-of-The-Art and Future Trend of Power Semiconductor Devices, delivered by Tatsuhiko Fujihira, Fuji Electric, Japan, Packaging and Reliability of Power Modules – Principles, Achievements and Future Challenges by Uwe Scheuermann, Semikron Elektronik, Germany and Electrochemical Battery Managements and Applications by Daniel Chatroux, CEA-LITEN, France.

Two days before the conference starts, internationally well known experts will share their knowledge on the principles and specific topics of power electronics in nine half day seminars and nine full day tutorials. Amongst others the following seminars will be included in the programme for the first time Fundamentals and Multi-Objective Design of Inductive Power Transfer Systems and Solid-State Transformer Concepts in Traction and Smart Grid Applications delivered by Johann Walter Kolar, ETH Zürich, Switzerland as well as Practical Application of 600 V GaN HEMTs in Power Electronics by Eric Persson, International Rectifier, USA and Design of Magnetic Components for High Power Converters by Tomás Pagá, Woodward IDS, Switzerland.
