Companies combine to form Knowles Capacitors

A division of Knowles Corporation, Dielectric Laboratories (DLI), Novacap, Syfer Technology and Voltronics have come together into a single organisation: Knowles Capacitors. The new company's head office will be in Norwich, UK, and will be headed up by Howard Ingleson, the previous MD of Syfer Technology.

The R & D facility for Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors and EMI Filters will be retained at this location as well as other existing sites in the USA. Manufacturing will take place at various locations, notably volume MLCC’s at the Knowles facility at Suzhou, a major city located in the southeast of Jiangsu Province in Eastern China.

Knowles Capacitors, by virtue of its founding brands, is now a premier global source for Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors, Single Layer Capacitors, EMI suppression filters, Trimmer Capacitors and Thin Film Devices. Together the company will serve a variety of markets including military, aerospace/avionics, medical equipment, implantable devices, EMI and connector filtering, oil exploration, instrumentation, industrial electronics, automotive, telecomms and data networks.
