The MT8820C Radio Communication Analyser from Anritsu now integrates with both DASY6 and cSAR3D from Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG) to provide seamless Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) compliance testing that significantly reduces assessment costs and maximises flexibility.

As the range and complexity of wireless devices grows, so too does the need for fast evaluation of the amount of Radio Frequency (RF) energy absorbed by the body when using these devices.

The measurement of RF exposure, expressed in terms of SAR, is a mandatory testing requirement in many countries, bringing with it a need for cost effective, accurate and reliable testing that reduces time to market.

DASY6 is the newest generation of the dosimetric and near-field evaluation system. DASY6 is fully compliant with all international standards and national regulations for SAR measurement. Compared to DASY52, DASY6 includes powerful new features resulting in a significant time savings for routine SAR compliance testing.

This is achieved without sacrificing accuracy by combining robot-optimised movements, intelligent scanning and smart utilisation of standardised test reduction techniques.

The integration of the Anritsu MT8820 Radio Communication Analyser improves the efficiency of user handling to save even more time during the certification process.

cSAR3D is the most advanced vector array system for conducting fast and accurate SAR measurements of wireless devices. To improve measurement speed, it uses state-of-the-art fast data acquisition, advanced 3D field reconstruction algorithms, and tight integration of the Anritsu MT8820C Radio Communication Analyser.

The system is designed for testing compliance with national and international exposure guidelines. It is compliant with the latest draft of IEC 62209-3 and it uses fast SAR protocols defined in IEC 62209-2 and IEEE 1528. cSAR3D integrates with DASY6 for the optimum combination of speed, versatility and regulatory acceptance.
