C-MAC MicroTechnology hires experienced industry executive

C-MAC MicroTechnology today announced the appointment of Karen Oddey as CEO of its Aerospace and Defence Electronics company.
This standalone business enjoys a leading position in the design and manufacture of high performance components, modules and systems for Aerospace and Defence as well as partnerships with major companies to achieve innovative solutions for radiation hard, space grade and high temperature requirements across specialist sectors.

Karen joins at a time when the business has been successfully transformed into a focussed, high reliability electronics specialist and will work to create further value through both organic and inorganic development of the business. Karen explained: “I’m excited by the opportunity to fully leverage C-MAC’s potential. C-MAC has recently expanded its core aerospace and defence business into the energy and space sectors, we now have the opportunity to consolidate and accelerate this development into these, and other new markets.”

Karen Oddey joins C-MAC following a successful career of managing international business in the aerospace, defence and high technology sectors. She has held group Managing Director positions within QinetiQ, Thales (defence and security) and 3Com (information and communications technology).
