Arrow Electronics and Samsung Semiconductor Europe have extended an existing agreement to include Samsung’s full range of LED components in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Samsung’s LED components aimed at manufacturers of lighting fittings are compliant with American NSI standards (LM80) and offer MacAdam colour bin and high luminous efficacy as well as improved reliability under harsh conditions and longer life span.

“Samsung has been a long-term supplier of Arrow and we are pleased to be able to extend our cooperation to the LED field, an area where both companies have specialist expertise,” said Eric Williams, vice president of global lighting for Arrow. “This agreement further strengthens Arrow’s lighting offering and our commitment to providing customers with access to best-of-breed lighting solutions.”

Arrow has a lighting team that provides specialist design-in support and end-to-end solutions to manufacturers in applications ranging from commercial interior/exterior lighting to automotive.

The company’s product portfolio includes all of the elements necessary in the creation of an effective SSL solution: LED light sources, optics, thermal management, connectivity, power supplies and power management electronics, and software for simple design and component selection.
