By operating in the sub-1GHz band, TI's 6LoWPAN solutions offer longer wireless range at lower power levels than traditional 2.4 GHz-based 6LoWPAN offerings. TI introduces the industry’s smallest High-Speed USB protection device for portable applications
Texas Instruments Incorporated have introduced the industry's first device to integrate four types of USB 2.0 chip protection in a single package. The TPD4S014 provides a high level of protection against electrostatic discharge and is the industry's smallest USB protection device for all four USB channels, measuring only 2 mm x 2 mm. Should the device junction temperature exceed 150 degrees Celsius, the switch turns off to the power rail, thus protecting against over-temperature conditions. To protect the power rail from a moving voltage line, the load switch in the TPD4S014 immediately opens, preventing under- or over-voltage if the power supply rail drops lower than 2.8 V or higher than 6.15 V.

Texas Instruments Incorporated has introduced its next-generation bqTESLA wireless power transmitter integrated circuit (IC). The bq500210 lowers the transmitter bill of materials cost by more than 50 percent, compared to existing solutions, by integrating the transmitter and supporting components into a single chip. The small, highly intelligent IC integrates the functionality required to safely and efficiently control wireless power transfer in a contactless charging base station.
