Spectrum Advanced Specialty Products announced today that its patch antenna elements have successfully fulfilled Iridium Satellite Communications' Iridium Compatible Equipment (ICE) Certification requirements. This certification offers Spectrum's customers the ability to save time when using Iridium-certified antennas in their applications by eliminating the need for re-certifying equipment when using the patch antennas according to Iridium's guidelines.
This new partnership with Iridium Satellite demonstrates Spectrum's continuing dedication to manufacturing high quality, high performance products. Currently, the PA25-1621-025SA and PA45-1621-1575SA patch antennas have achieved ICE Certification, however several of Spectrum's antennas and assemblies are in the approval process and certification is expected in 2011.
Spectrum will join Iridium staff and other registered partners at the Iridium Partner Conference, in New Orleans, LA this year. The conference, which runs from January 25-28, will feature exhibitions from all registered equipment providers and Iridium partners, offering a strong forum for discussion on the future of satellite communication technology.
As the industry's only vertically integrated antenna solutions and systems provider, Spectrum offers the unique ability to design and manufacture custom antennas and assemblies completely in-house, from concept through delivery. Spectrum produces a range of antenna types, including aperture, slot, loops, spiral, planar, switched arrays, EBAs, beam-forming static, cavity backed and custom network/baluns ideal for applications in the 400 MHz - 8 GHz range as well as high efficiency, high gain applications.
