The AVR XMEGA devices from Atmel is an 8/16-bit microcontroller family designed for high system performance and low power consumption.
They also feature a Full-Speed USB device module with effective USB data rates up to 1100kBs, or 8.72Mbps and with only 7% CPU load, outperforming any competitor product by far.
All common USB device class drivers have been certified and are available for FREE in AVR Studio 5 and AVR Software Framework.
