Vishay Precision Group announce that its Vishay Foil Resistors brand has released a new video that compares the accuracy of precision thin film resistors with the new generation of VFR COTS resistors based on Z1-Foil technology. Using the example of a circuit built around Intersil's ISL28617 precision instrumentation amplifier, the short video shows how an increase in ambient temperature causes a TCR mismatch in the thin film resistors (TCR of 5 ppm/ °C), resulting in an error in the output of the amplifier circuit while having no effect on the Bulk Metal Foil resistor.

TDK Corporation presents EPCOS MKP film capacitors of the B3267xPx series with a significantly reduced volume. For example the type with a capacitance of 1 µF and a rated voltage of 450 V DC has dimensions of only 8.0 x 17.5 x 13.0 mm³ thanks to a high capacitance density with a lead spacing of 10 mm.
