M78 Switching Regulators from MEGA Electronics Inc.
MEGA Electronics Inc. 0.5Amp and 1.0Amp switching regulators are ideally suite to replace 78xx linear regulators and are pin compatible. With efficiencies up to 96% very little energy is wasted as heat, eliminating the need for heat sinks and drastically reducing overall weight. In addition to wide input voltage ranges, the regulators include a thermal shutdown, short circuit protection with continuous automatic recovery and low ripple and noise. Normal operating temperatures are from -40C to +85C ambient and +100C case temperatures of the fully encapsulated regulator.

Two axis mini displacement joysticks
Now available in the UK from Aerco is a new model in the range of two-axis, non-contacting mini displacement joysticks from Ultra Electronics MSI. The model 5000C, the world's first joystick of this type, was launched in 2007 and the new 500C is introduced to extend the application range. It is of a more traditional design and is intended for use with finger and thumb as opposed to the 5000C that was for use with finger or thumb. In addition, the 500C is mounted and sealed from below the panel whereas the 5000C is designed for mounting from above.

Benefiting from a low profile (5.65 mm) and slim case design (10x6 mm), the Axicom IM series relay range now features a highly sensitive version (100mW coil), an ultra highly sensitive version (50mW coil), a highly dielectric version (1.5kV rms / 2.5kV pulse) and a high current version (5A). Waterproof Key Lock Switch Is Mains Rated
Lorlin Electronics has announced the WRLM miniature key operated lock switch which is waterproof to IP67 and the switch module is safety approved to EN61058 by DEMKO and is flame retardant to UL94 V0. The WRLM is a two-part construction for ease of assembly, the lock is inserted into the panel from the front and the mains switch module snaps on from the rear.

Surface Mount Tact Switch Series Combines Small Size With Extra Long Travel
knitter-switch has announced a new tact switch series that will find wide application in industry, in medical systems, consumer electronics and the automotive sector. Switches in the TSS 650 series are small, surface mount tact switches that provide an extra long travel of 1.3mm, compared to the industry "norm" of just 0.25mm.
