Two-part polyurethanes now available from Rapid Electronics

ALH Systems have two new resins in the 2008 Rapid Electronics catalogue. Uniquely, both of these two-part polyurethane's are supplied in a universal cartridge conveniently dispensed from a standard mastic gun.

The NP2500 system is classified as NON-HAZARDOUS and is fully RoHS compliant. This soft re-enterable PU is an ideal protection for delicate and sensitive surface mount components as it does not impart any stress on components during cure or when thermally cycled. NP2500 is an excellent choice for continuous exposure in wet environments as it does not absorb any moisture. It will remain flexible at temperatures down to –60OC.

The NP1480 system is a water clear and tough system that is fully RoHS compliant. It is suitable for LED encapsulation and Doming applications that benefit from the intrinsic UV resistance of the resin. The NP1480 resin is also available in a smaller 50ml dual cartridge providing easily controlled and fast dispensing of small amounts in production situations.
