Hawco Group, the specialist supplier of industrial automation and control solutions, temperature management and circuit protection devices, in association with Osram Sylvania offers an accurate, versatile process air heater for applications up to 650 degrees Celsius. Designated Skorpion, the air heater provides fully closed-loop PID regulation with a temperature accuracy of ±1 degree via an on-board controller.

A rugged, robust all-metal air source guarantees reliable operation in dusty environments. An adjustable air damper provides flow control. An all-in-one process air heater, Skorpion comprises Osram Sylvania’s patented long-life Serpentine heater elements, air supply, 1/32 DIN temperature controller and sensor.

Other features include an over-temperature safety system, 50 A power control solid-state relay, blower ON switch, heater ON switch and a maximum flow rate of 10 SCFM. Typical process applications include drying, melting, curing or sealing. Two versions are available: 1.5 kW, 120 V and 3.5 kW, 240 V.
